Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 24, 2026
LifeHub ("LifeHub," "we," "us," "our") is operated by LifeHub. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use the LifeHub website and chat service (the "Service"), how we use and share it, and the choices you have.
LifeHub is a conversational service that helps you make small, measurable lifestyle changes. To do that, it learns about your life through conversation. That means we handle sensitive information, and we treat it accordingly.
Health data note. Much of what you share with LifeHub is health-related. Health data is governed by a separate document — our Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy — which describes the categories of consumer health data we collect, why, who we share it with, and the specific rights you have over it. Where the two documents overlap, the Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy controls for consumer health data.
1. A quick map of how LifeHub uses your information
- You talk to LifeHub. We process what you say to respond to you and to build a private profile of your situation (we call it your "LifeMap") so the Service gets more useful over time.
- To generate responses, your conversation is sent to third-party AI model providers under contract. They process it to produce a reply; they do not use your conversations to train their models.
- We do not sell your personal information, and we do not sell your consumer health data.
- We only use your information to improve outcomes for other users, or to build anonymized case studies, if you separately opt in. That is never bundled into your acceptance of these terms.
The rest of this policy is the detail.
2. Information we collect
Information you provide directly.
- Conversation content. The messages you send to LifeHub by text or voice, including anything you choose to share about your health, body, habits, medications, lab results and measurements, mental and emotional state, relationships, work, finances, and environment.
- Voice audio. If you use voice, the audio of what you say. Voice is processed in your browser and transmitted to be transcribed and responded to.
- Measurements you report. Self-reported or at-home readings such as glucose, blood pressure, weight, or lab values (e.g., ALT, AST), when you choose to share them.
- Contact information. An email address, if and when you choose to provide one to save your progress and stay in touch.
- Other information you choose to give us (for example, when you contact support or respond to a message from us).
Information we infer. To make the Service useful, LifeHub draws inferences from what you tell us — for example, connecting sleep, stress, and work patterns, or estimating a likely health pattern from non-health details. These inferences become part of your LifeMap. Some of them are health-related and are also covered by our Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy.
Information we collect automatically. When you use the Service we collect standard technical data: device and browser type, IP address, pages viewed, referring source, approximate location derived from IP, and interaction events. We use cookies and similar technologies for this; see Section 8.
Anonymous sessions. You can use LifeHub before giving us any contact information. In that case we associate your data with an anonymous session identifier rather than your identity. If you later provide an email address, we may link your earlier anonymous session to it so your history carries forward. You can ask us to delete an anonymous session's data; see Section 9.
3. How we use your information
We use your information to:
- Operate the Service and respond to you in conversation.
- Build and maintain your LifeMap so the Service understands your situation and gets more useful over time.
- Suggest small actions ("Moves"), track the before/after measurements you choose to record, and tell you whether something appears to be working for you.
- Send you messages you've asked for, such as follow-ups and check-ins (you can opt out at any time).
- Maintain security, prevent abuse, debug, and improve the Service.
- Comply with law and enforce our Terms of Service.
We use your information to improve the Service for other users, or to build anonymized case studies, only if you separately opt in to contributing your outcomes. That opt-in is requested separately and is not part of accepting our Terms.
4. AI processing and third-party model providers
LifeHub uses large language models to understand and respond to you. We access these models through an AI gateway (OpenRouter) that routes requests to underlying model providers (for example, providers such as Anthropic and OpenAI).
This means your conversation content — including health information — is transmitted to these providers to generate a response. We contract for routes and terms under which providers process your content only to produce a response and do not use it to train their models or retain it beyond what is needed to provide the service. We select providers and routes with this in mind.
We are responsible for the providers who process data on our behalf. They act as our processors and are bound by contract to use your data only on our instructions.
5. How we share information
We share personal information only as described here. We do not sell personal information, and we do not sell consumer health data.
- Service providers / processors. Companies that perform services for us — AI model providers and the AI gateway (Section 4), hosting and database infrastructure, voice transcription, email delivery, analytics, and security — process data on our behalf under contracts that limit their use to providing those services.
- Legal and safety. We may disclose information if required by law, to respond to lawful requests, to protect the rights, safety, and property of users or others, or to investigate fraud or abuse.
- Business transfers. If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this policy.
We share consumer health data only as described in the Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy, and we obtain the consents that law requires before doing so.
Anonymized and aggregated data. With your separate opt-in, we may include de-identified information about your outcomes in aggregated analyses and case studies that help other users (for example, "people with a similar pattern who reduced X saw Y"). De-identified data is stripped of identifiers and is not used to re-identify you. If you do not opt in, your data is not used this way.
6. Data retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active or your anonymous session persists, and as long as needed to provide the Service and for the purposes described here. You can ask us to delete your data (Section 9). Some information may be retained where required by law, to resolve disputes, or to enforce our agreements. De-identified and aggregated data that can no longer be linked to you may be retained.
7. Security
We use technical and organizational measures designed to protect your information, including encryption in transit and at rest, access controls limiting staff access to what is necessary, and database-level protections. No system is perfectly secure. If we discover a breach of unsecured information affecting you, we will notify you and the appropriate authorities as required by applicable law, including the FTC Health Breach Notification Rule and applicable state breach-notification laws.
8. Cookies and analytics
We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the Service, remember your session, understand usage, and measure performance. You can control cookies through your browser settings. Where required, we honor recognized opt-out preference signals (such as Global Privacy Control). We do not use your consumer health data for cross-context behavioral advertising, and we do not deploy advertising trackers against your health information.
When you arrive via an ad or campaign link, the URL parameters present on that page (such as UTM tags and Google click IDs) are recorded to attribute sign-ups to the campaign that brought you here.
9. Your privacy rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of your personal information, to opt out of certain processing, and to limit the use of sensitive personal information. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at [email protected]. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
For rights specific to consumer health data — including the right to withdraw consent, to confirm collection and sharing, to access a list of third parties and affiliates who received your health data, and to have your health data deleted across our systems and our processors — see the Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy, which describes how to make those requests.
You can also: opt out of non-essential messages at any time via the unsubscribe link or by contacting us; decline to provide information (though some features won't work without it); and choose not to opt in to outcome contribution.
10. Children
LifeHub is intended for adults. The Service is not directed to anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us information, contact us at [email protected] and we will delete it.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. If we make material changes, we will post the updated policy with a new effective date and, where required, notify you. If a change involves collecting or using your health data in a new way or for a new purpose, we will obtain your affirmative consent before doing so.
