Terms of Service
Last updated: June 24, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a contract between you and LifeHub ("LifeHub," "we," "us," "our") and govern your use of the LifeHub website and chat service (the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
Please read Section 3 (Not Medical Advice), Section 4 (Emergencies), and Sections 11–12 (Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability) carefully. They limit our obligations and your remedies.
1. Who can use LifeHub
You must be 18 or older to use the Service. The Service is intended for adults and is not directed to minors. By using it, you represent that you are 18 or older and that the information you provide is accurate.
2. What LifeHub is
LifeHub is a conversational tool that helps you reflect on your habits and circumstances and consider small lifestyle changes you might try. It learns about your situation through conversation in order to make its suggestions more relevant to you. It is an informational and educational tool and a self-guided experiment companion. It is not a medical service.
3. Not medical advice; no provider–patient relationship
LifeHub does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. It is not a doctor, clinician, therapist, or licensed health professional, and using it does not create a provider–patient, therapist–client, or other professional relationship.
- Information and suggestions from the Service are for general informational and educational purposes only. They are not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment from a qualified health care provider.
- LifeHub is designed to work alongside your existing medical care, not to replace it. Keep working with your own doctor. Do not start, stop, or change any medication, treatment, or medical plan based on the Service. Talk to your own qualified provider before making any health-related decision, and before changing anything your provider has prescribed.
- Suggestions are offered as small, optional experiments for you to decide whether to try. You are responsible for your own choices and for involving your provider where appropriate. Any measurements or "before/after" results are personal observations, not clinical findings, and individual results vary.
- Never disregard or delay seeking professional medical advice because of something you read or were told through the Service.
4. Not for emergencies
The Service is not for medical or mental health emergencies. If you are experiencing a medical emergency, call 911 (or your local emergency number). If you are in crisis or thinking about harming yourself, call or text the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline (in the U.S., dial or text 988), or contact local emergency services. The Service may, at times, share resources like these, but it does not monitor you, cannot guarantee any response, and is not a crisis or emergency service.
5. AI-generated content
Responses from the Service are generated by automated systems, including third-party AI models. They may be inaccurate, incomplete, or not appropriate for your situation. Use your judgment, and verify important information with qualified professionals. The Service may be unavailable or interrupted, and features may change.
6. Your account and anonymous use
You may begin using the Service without an account. If you provide an email address, you are responsible for the activity associated with it and for keeping your access secure. Notify us at [email protected] of any unauthorized use.
7. Your responsibilities and acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for anyone other than yourself, or provide information about another person without their permission.
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose, or in violation of these Terms.
- Attempt to access, disrupt, reverse-engineer, scrape, or interfere with the Service or its security.
- Misrepresent your identity or age, or upload malicious code.
- Rely on the Service as a substitute for professional medical care.
We may suspend or terminate access for conduct that violates these Terms or that we reasonably believe is harmful to others or to the Service.
8. Your content and how we use it
You retain ownership of the information you provide ("Your Content"). You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide license to use, process, store, and display Your Content as needed to operate and provide the Service to you, including transmitting it to the AI providers who generate responses, as described in our Privacy Policy and Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy.
Contributing to outcomes and case studies is separate and optional. We will only use Your Content to improve the Service for other users, or to build de-identified case studies, if you separately and affirmatively opt in. That opt-in is requested on its own and is not part of your acceptance of these Terms. You can withdraw it at any time as described in our privacy policies.
We handle Your Content in accordance with our Privacy Policy and, for health data, our Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy, which are incorporated into these Terms by reference.
9. Our intellectual property
The Service, including its software, content, design, and trademarks (but excluding Your Content), is owned by LifeHub or its licensors and is protected by law. We grant you a limited, revocable, non-transferable license to use the Service for your personal, non-commercial use, subject to these Terms.
10. Third-party services
The Service relies on third-party providers (including AI model providers and infrastructure). We are not responsible for third-party services, and their availability or performance may affect the Service. Any third-party links are provided for convenience and are not endorsements.
11. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE ACCURATE, RELIABLE, UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT ANY RESULT OR HEALTH OUTCOME WILL BE ACHIEVED. YOU USE THE SERVICE AT YOUR OWN RISK.
12. Limitation of liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, LIFEHUB AND ITS OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF (OR INABILITY TO USE) THE SERVICE, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF US $100 OR THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
13. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless LifeHub from claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your misuse of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any law or the rights of another.
14. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time and may request deletion of your data as described in our privacy policies. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or to protect the Service or its users. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including Sections 8, 9, and 11–16) will survive.
15. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. If we make material changes, we will post the updated Terms with a new effective date and, where required, notify you. Your continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms. Changes to how we handle your health data are governed by our privacy policies and, where required, will be made only with your consent.
